We found the boat in a different place from where we left it. They were dredging the marina over the winter and moved it around.
Come to find out when they move the boat They pulled the cord out of the connector to the pedestal. That means we had no power coming to the boat for I don’t know how long. Batteries were flat dead. Everything was dead. After several hours of working, I rewired the cord end. However, the batteries were so flat that they would not take a charge. Monday morning I took a ride to Walmart and bought a jumpstart battery pack. I hooked it up to the batteries and the onboard battery charger recognized voltage and then kicked on. The charger has been working fine since that point. Needless to say we were not happy with the marina for what they did to us.
the good thing that happened was, Buffer dave came and buffed our boat for us! He does fantastic work and Looks like new. Tuesday afternoon the buffing was done and the weather broke. We fueled up and headed out and made little over 50 miles up the Illinois river where we anchored for the night. Overall, we got on the way without too many issues. Stay tuned!
