10/26/23 A sudden change of plans!

We left our slip in Indiana, and got down through all of the locks that were closed. This went off without any real problems, just a minor few delays. After those locks we made our way down to Peoria which was nice and then I had dinner with an old friend of mine from the elevator industry. The next day we worked our way down to an Anchorage at quiver island, which was quite nice. Got up in the morning and started heading south towards Willow Island, which was a pretty long way. It was about an 80 mile trip. Somewhere along the way like lucky started having severe chest pain. Knowing that he was having a heart attack, We decided we were not going to Willow Island that we would power down to head to Grafton Marina. There really was nowhere else to stop for the next hundred miles. We throttled up went through to Grafton Marina which they called 911 for lucky. I had a ride in the ambulance with all the lights going to Christian hospital. In the hospital within 45 minutes like he was in having a stent in his right coronary artery. The procedure went without a problem. A Night in ICU a day in the telemetry unit and then back to the boat. The damage to his heart cannot be determined at this point, but it looks minimal. Lucky is feeling better now than he has in a long time!. However, he needs to be followed up with cardiology and needs to chill for an extended period of time. Therefore the nice people at Grafton Marina are able to help us out and let us store the boat here till next spring. At that point will decide what her plan of action will be. All of our Looper friends where awesome during this period of time. Thanks for following us along this way and lucky is feeling great and no one should worry about his health and the world for those of you at home. We’ll see you there on Saturday.
