It’s been a while since our last update. The last time we posted we were on our way to Leland. Leland is a really cool town with a salmon fish ladder going right up to the middle of town. It was really awesome watching salmon jumping up. We stayed there and thoroughly enjoyed this tiny little town.

After Leland we headed to Frankfurt. Frankfurt’s another nice little town. Great marina with an awesome park. They were getting ready to have an Iron Man competition there. We decided not to join because we were a little under the weather. Lol. We did take a long bike ride up to Crystal Lake, which was absolutely beautiful. We got Mavis to ride in the basket she thought she was Toto from the Wizard of Oz, but she enjoyed it.

After Leland, we went to a Manistee, which was kind of a sleepy little town, but we were there on Saturday night, and they had a block party. The place was hopping on Saturday night with a live band then people just having a great time. While we were there, we also had a courtesy Coast Guard check to make sure safety equipment was all up-to-date. We passed without a problem. On Sunday morning still in Manistee we went for a walk to find some breakfast. It was back to being a ghost town not even a car was driving down the main street. You would have never known there was a block party 10 hours ago! Quite an interesting little town.

Next stop ended up in Pentwater for a three night stay. Again, nothing going on there because the season is coming to a close fast. The only thing we did was really catch up on rest while we were there.

Grand Haven was our next stop. We had a pretty good stay there. we had some good dinners with the Loopers, rode bikes, and took Mavis for a long walk. We like the little town.

Our next stop with Saugatuck. We really like Saugatuck. We rode our bikes down to the national shore of Lake Michigan. The beach was really sandy like the Caribbean. It was really cool. I never expected that on Lake Michigan. We ran into our friends, Podi and Karen . And we rode around town a whole bunch. I bet during the summer there was it was a happening place. The other thing that was there with his rental vintage boats. They’re all converted to a Electric at this point they are really neat.

Our next challenge came when the shower sump pump decided that it didn’t want to work anymore. After digging around and finding it, I realize that it was not going to be fixable. So we ordered a new one and had it shipped into Saint Josephs. Saint Joseph’s was our next stop and the part came in as expected. After a bunch of swearing and sweating the pump was installed and we can shower on the boat again. Saint Joe’s was a nice little town. We met up with some other loopers. We did some bike rides and usual stuff.

our last stop on this post was at portage which was absolutely nothing of a stop. We ended up in this marina and we were the only loopers there and it was really quiet. There was nothing there for us to do so we hung out on the boat for a couple days. Got a few things cleaned up just kind of chilled. As I’m writing this, we are cruising across Lake Michigan. On our way to Chicago. No land in site because it’s a little foggy, but the GPS has us going the right direction. I hope. Stay tune to the next one with some great pictures of Chicago.
