We stopped for two nights just up the first eight locks of the Rideau canal. We tied to the wall right downtown Ottawa. Lots to see here including the parliament building many statues, great restaurants and just really cool. It’s been brutally hot here. The wall we’re tied to does not have power we can use so we’ve been running the generator. The generator needs to be running so we can run our air conditioning in the boat. Not the end of the world.

in some ways we wish we were here in the winter. The canal freezes and people skate on it. Sounds amazing. Part of the Rideau canal is Dows lake. In the winter they make

We are still hanging with our friends on the “Better Together”, Karl and Jody. It’s nice to have a boat to pair up with going through these locks because you know they know what to do and they are fun to hang out with.

we went through a museum on the locks. Showed the history of the locks in a lot of history of Ottawa. We ate at the oldest pub in Canada. We got to watch other boats go through the locks from above. We got to see how they hand crank these old locks. Not sure where we’re heading to next but I’m sure it’ll be awesome. Stay tuned – Lucky
