After Quebec, we had two stops before we reached Ottawa. The first stop was Montebello, Quebec. Not a whole lot going on but there was an awesome hotel. The hotel was one of the largest wood structures in the world- Unbelievable construction. In town was a very small replica of the Statue of Liberty, which was very very cool. The next stop we made was in Kitchissippi, Quebec. Definitely not much going on in the town. It ended up being a long day because along the way the Carillon gate failed to operate properly. We waited 4 hours to get into the lock. Just made for a long day. It was not a big deal. Our July fourth was not as exciting as it usually is since Canada doesn’t celebrate it. LOL. However, we made the best of it.

Pictures of the hotel and the size of the Carillon don’t do either justice. If you look at the picture of us in the lock, you can see the stairs going up. Almost all of them are under when exit the lock.
