7-10-23 Merrickville

We have spent the last two days in Merrickville. It’s called the prettiest little town in Canada. Really cool little town with neat restaurants shops. We spent the first day below the locks on the wall. This was an awesome location. We had our own little park. At night the kids where jumping off the lock and having a blast. Then yesterday we moved up to the wall to the upper lock in the middle of town. The best burger was at Bob’s fries. It was awesome!! We had dinner at the Goose and the server reminded me of my friend Kristen. I got my fishing license for Ontario today. It has been kind of fun wetting a line with a fishing rod that was my buddy Pat’s fishing rod who passed away a year ago.

We went through some really tight places to get here. The canal got very very narrow and shallow. However, we made it without a problem. We’ll see what the next section brings.
