6-15-23 locks and more locks!

As I write this, we are in Little Falls, New York. Cool little place where were tied up to a Wall for very cheap money. We love that cheap money part! Over the last few days we have gone through 16 locks. The last one we went through was a lock 17. Until recently, it was the largest lock in the world. It was a 41 foot lift. It took a good 20 minutes to fill.

if you look at the last picture you will see a caravan of looper boats we were in. Its fun traveling together!

I think were 380 feet above sea level at this point. That means through the locks we’ve been lifted 380 feet in elevation from when we left New York City. Some are a little scary, Others were quite easy, but we manage them all. I banged off a couple walls, but the boat really didn’t suff any damage.

we’re all holding up well Mavis took a little walk today. She had issues and was growling at everyone. Not being a nice little kitty! Lol. Tonight here in a little Falls there was a car show and food trucks. Great little stop for us. Tomorrow make an a push to Rome . It looks like not so great weather, but we need to get there – I ordered parts from a marina and they are not open on Saturday . I’m sure we’ll be fine since it’s just a River but I wish the weather was better. Stay tuned for more. Enjoy the pictures!

    • We made it to our the destination. However, it was the wrong part. Also found out that there’s a problem with the alternator so I’m searching out a source for a new one now. It’ll be all good. Thanks for asking.
